Mindcast is starting 2016 with a blast. We are honored and hyped to share the final podcast of BORIS NOIZ: a mix of brand-new electro and techno gems with carefully selected Chicago classics, a ride with a harsh climax.
Boris Brenecki aka Boris Noiz started making music back in 2003 in Serbia and began DJing a year later. His output is best described as a fusion of bass styles and genres, forming an aggressive, dynamic and moving journey. His first release, “Vehemence”, came out in early 2008 on the Canadian label Rottun Recordings, followed by two collaborations with Excision that gathered serious attention, including airtime on Annie Nightingale’s show on BBC Radio 1. Releasing under the name NOIZ at the time, he has since put out EPs on labels like Combat Recordings, Yellow Machines, Subtrakt, Bankai Audio and Ex7. He has also made a name as a remixer for Scorn, Machine Code, Anodyne, Gunjack and Point B (who made Mindcast.14), and as a performer, with gigs in Germany, Russia, Greece, Croatia, Spain and Hungary.
With this mix recording Boris steps back from the NOIZ moniker to focus on the industrial techno collaboration ONTAL, which he runs together with Dekode. Aside from Ontal he is busy with a deep/acid, 80s Chicago-house-inspired project called Lost In The Sound and the drone/ambient/post-rock project Bezdan, which he runs with Damir Tahiri, singer and guitarist of the Serbian alternative rock band Nebo Je Crveno.
