We start the new year with a powerful mix by Francesco Arancio, who invites us to surf his PHREAKWAVEZ. Since his arrival in 2010, the Berliner-by-choice has been mixing up the city’s electronic music scene. His bright and curious nature involved him in many activities around the dance floors of clubs and festivals, with gigs in Berlin’s biggest and most famous venues as well as his own series of events certainly being among the milestones of his career so far.
Francesco’s Zero2Nine events brought artists such as Bas Mooy, Reeko, Exium, Christian Wünsch, Kyle Geiger, and Paul Mac on stage alongside him, resulting in further regular gigs at renowned event formats. He describes his music as dark and mystical, high-energy with driving beats and a touch of psychedelic elements, all geared towards an ecstatic dance experience. His moniker Phreakwavez, on the other hand, aims for experimental and broken beats, which is one of the reasons we invited him to the Mindcast series.
