Mindcast starts into the new year with an exclusive mix by MIN-Y-LLAN. Min-Y-Llan is an ambient/electronica alias of Welshman Martin Boulton. Born in Pembrokeshire, an influential and very scenic part of the world that has definitely made its mark on his music, he creates beautiful, rich and warm ambient sounds woven together with driving rhythms. Min-Y-Llan samples the colours and sounds of the world around him, and through his music these sensory forms are tapped into, stirring feelings of nostalgia for some.
Currently he has six albums and a “Best Of 2009-2012” available, namely “To Be Where Life Is”, “The Black Lagoon”, “The Belders Wench”, “Regulate Condition” and “My Only Weakness Is Weakness”. He has also released a handful of EPs and a couple of splits, with Australian artist Sense on the London-based Awkward Silence Recordings and with Floating Spirits for Section 27, all very well received around the globe. Besides producing, he is the driving force behind Touched Music, which became popular for bringing some of the planet’s best electronic and ambient artists together for one great cause: Macmillan Cancer Support.
