Building on the foundation of their third album, the Polymer Boulevard Remixes serves as a high-concept reimagining of the original work. Axel and Michael Ebert invited a carefully curated selection of artists—each operating far outside the mainstream—to reinterpret the tracks through their own distinct stylistic filters.
The result is an exceptionally eclectic collection that spans a massive sonic spectrum: from high-energy electro “bangers” and experimental breaks to slow-motion dystopian soundscapes and industrial rock. Despite this stylistic volatility, the release is unified by the Ebertbrothers’ dark, cinematic DNA and the shared creative integrity of the contributors. It stands as both a tribute to the duo’s versatility and a celebration of the independent electronic community, bridging the gap between dubstep, IDM, and avant-garde noise.
