With the launch of the G.Dubs series, Mindwaves Music pivots toward the darker, percussive edges of electronic music. G.DUBS01 introduces Monotone, the collaborative live project of Francesco Presotto and Kimi Recor. Bringing together their individual expertise from the EX.HALE and SCHNALLO projects, the duo explores a powerful fusion of raw underground energy and avant-garde sound design.
The EP Call Your Friends is a masterclass in hybrid rhythms, blending deep, bass-heavy grooves with intricate, IDM-influenced Drum ‘n’ Bass and an autonomous halftime aesthetic. The release strikes a rare balance between ethereal, atmospheric soundscapes and aggressive, cutting-edge production. Having already garnered significant support from heavyweights such as Laurent Garnier, Modeselektor, dBridge, and Rob Hall, Call Your Friends firmly establishes the G.Dubs series as a frontier for experimental bass music that remains deeply rooted in rhythmic tradition.
