Released in July 2008, Psycrowdelica – Home Edition is a collaborative double-CD compilation produced in partnership with the legendary German festival PsyCrowdelica. The release was designed to encapsulate the event’s multi-faceted sonic identity, bridging the gap between high-energy dancefloor intensity and avant-garde listening environments.
The double-disc set is split into two distinct thematic journeys: One disc, curated by the PsyCrowdelica crew, focuses on the driving, psychedelic trance sounds characteristic of the main stage. The second disc, curated by Mindwaves Music, presents a sophisticated selection of downbeat electronica, IDM, and ambient textures. Featuring a blend of established pioneers and emerging newcomers, the compilation functions as a sonic document of the festival’s unique atmosphere, offering a cohesive experience that spans from intricate, glitch-heavy soundscapes to powerful, system-focused rhythms.
