Winchester – Liquid Crystal State [G.DUBS03]

Winchester (formerly known as Wedge) returns with Liquid Crystal State, a striking 4-track EP that fuses the heavyweight pressure of his Bristol dubstep roots with the intricate sound design of his experimental solo work.

Inspired by the microscopic grids and labyrinthine circuits of LCD screens, the EP explores technological decay and perceptual distortion. Each track channels these hidden architectures—fragments of data, voltage, and interference—into raw, rhythmic forms. The results are physical, break driven, and industrial, yet laced with nuance and sculptural precision.

With a legacy of genre-defying collaborations (Dot Product with Raiden, Wrecked Lightship with Appleblim), Winchester continues to blur the lines between club energy and avant-garde abstraction. On Liquid Crystal State, jungle, footwork, dark dubstep, and UK bass influences collide in a sound that’s built for both movement and disorientation - inviting the listener to lose themselves inside the maze.
